R.I.P Milky

Today...was kinda.....well it is..possibly the worst day of the year...Milky died....he was found laying at 3rd floor parking lot T_T

The apartment security guard found him, he knew that he was our cat and rush to told us..but it was too late for milky....time of death 7-8 am.

i had pet died before...birds, fish, turtle, crabs (sounds plenty isn't it ?), but its different when its a cat.......i like cats, tho milky is kinda the bad kitty...he loves to bites, bothering people when they are using computer, always asking attention, stealing food from the other kitty...

i forgot when was milky arrived in the apartment, but he was very little...

i have so many memories with him..i'll be missing you milky T_T

Dead Space SDCC 2009 -Bad Photo Edition-

So I've acquired Dead Space SDCC 2009 exclusive earlier than Hellboy edition but i kinda refrain opening it since i need to ruin the box to actually hold the figure >_<

Well i did..........i dont really have that much patient waiting to have space to display them~ so i just open it and i put them back again~

So here's the last pic of it being perfectly sealed in the box~


And i must say, the box stick the figure quite tight, after few times trying the bend him in every possible way...the figure do have high amount of joints~ around.........15+ (doesnt remember all of it)

The lights are remarkably shiny * o *

Well that's all about it that i can tell...i guess..........ah right ! the only thing that kinda depress me is........the left arm..the bicep part somewhat crooked(?) so its a bit weird looking at it, but i think its only at my figure T_T

This figure worth every penny that it cost ! the light is mesmerizing, the tribal accent of the outfit is great, the weapon is quite cool, the figure itself is STURDY (i can see that in 10 years, it will still look the same as today........well perhaps bit dusty)

District 9 Review -No Spoilers-

Watched District 9 few days ago (the day when i post my first food loot blog post).

I must say, i went to the movie expecting normal human vs alien type of movie..since i only watch the trailer once ! *which is good*

Its somewhat bit boring at the first, then it got exciting...I'm guessing the director is trying to build up the story first then goes to the main event~


Even though I've seen plenty of movies lately (sadly i haven't watch harry potter yet), but this movie went up to the top 3 movie fave this year (for me that is)

With only US$ 30 million, the director able to deliver a movie that able to move me more than many other movies.........



I recommend this movie for those who actually looking a different kind of blast here and there type of alien vs human type of sci-fi movies~

Update : it seems bit short for a review, so I'll just add few things..well total income for the movie currently pass over $37 mil which means........its a success XD

The thing that i like about this movie is, they didn't use those mega hit super popular handsome gorgeous actor and actress~ which i could say...you don't need great actor/actress to make a great movie (tho you need to have great act)

The movie itself rated 18+ due of the gore, blood splatter, limbs flying, swear words, human negativity in political, greed, & racial tendency these days~

Food Loot 16/08/09

Another Food Loot post !!!!

So i went again to the japan food corner and grab few things XD


So there's Sakuma Drops, which is i think somewhat popular in japan...plus advertised in the anime The Grave of Firefly (which is a great tragic movie)..taste quite great too !

Choco Baby, i havent tried it but i supposed it taste like normal choco....candies.......i think~ i'll update later after i ate it~ (and i did, it taste normal tho~)

Lastly but not the least Frans~ pocky type of snack~ with mix berries flavour <3 and then i ate~


Thats indeed..........salmon on hot stone !!! cost me around.......US$5, which is quite ok cause of the size~

Its not that it doesnt taste good, it does~ but somehow i prefer my salmon raw XD the fried rice goes well with the salmon too~ Well i cant say much bout it since my tounge is familiar with most of seafoods...

HellBoy SDCC 2009

So i finally grab this...........err hellboy thingy since my gf said its cuter~ and it is true ^ o ^

HellBoy limited SDCC 2009 edition...looks pretty neat, it comes with his gun..which is quite heavy, and i thought it would be light...looks pretty sweet too, it have a logo on the gun handle, which i forgot to take pic of it - _ -a

Well other than that, everything just seem usual.....looks great for displaying tho, wonder if i should buy others....but i run with low budget, so i guess i'll hold it out for a while~

if there's any other version of hellboy that similar to these, let me know cause it seems that i like it a lot :)

Well i bought this actually cause i asked my <3 that i would buy her an action figure for her b'day gift later XD it turned out that its actually pretty good..the color is bright and the facial expression is hilarious..well its more hilarious in the anime~

I quite fond her twin tail~ it even can support her body to stand without the stand itself which is good~


She came with few pair of arms, a stand, and a ranseru; but she didnt came with the bicycle, its just a props~ i love the hair color tho, its really painted quite good on the figure ^ w ^


Kokonoe Rin is the main character in the anime "Kodomo no Jikan", a somewhat bit ecchi anime....and ah...ecchi is not pr0n..... the other characters from Kodomo no Jikan will also be released later, tho i dont really know the release time...but i'm guessing it wont be so soon T_T

Food Loot 13/08/09

Well i kinda having some food shop yesterday (well more likely snack food shopping), saw a Japanese snack & food corner in a mall..so i went to check them up~

There are plenty of snacks that quite common...i guess but there are some that quite unique ! So here's the pic of my loot that day



A pretzel !!!! well not really that good...but it was my 1st after i saw a funny commercial of it starring Matsura Aya few years ago XD

those 2 rather cute looking things (the chicken and baby seal) is actually a...........i have no idea what it is called........well my mom usually used it when she make onigiri

that weird looking bottle is a soda drink called Ramune , you have to get it someday...it really surprise me when i opened it...you'll understand if you ever had it~ Its unique in a way.....lol

And that thing.....behind all of those is Dead Space limited action figure from San Diego Comic Convention 2009 !!! i was lucky getting it since it turned up that.............that action figure is actually the last stock~ *a review for it would come a bit late~~~~

Miku Miku Kagami

So here they are ! Miku Miku Kagami ! the cosplay that showed up in Lucky Star OVA played by Kagami Hiiragi~~

sadly, i'm unable to obtain konata cosplaying as suzumiya haruhi >_<

So here they are........in figma version and nendoroid version (sadly i havent made pic for the nendoroid version ToT As you can see...the nendoroid still inside the box...

Next, the review~

So this is figma Miku Miku Kagami.....i must say i kinda like it...many people doesnt like the stomach joint that made the figure looks like pregnant or something XD

oh well...it doesn't really showed up too much, and not really in away reduce the figure flexibility <3

the joints are good, the coloring is quite nice too ^ o ^, but the thing is....somehow i felt like the legs are too.......skinny ?, well that's before i made comparison with other figmas...then i realized that they all quite the same...i wish they made it bit..just a bit thicker...but I'm quite satisfied with it tho~

the figma as usual comes with stand, 5 pair of hands (1 pair attached with the figure...d'oh), 2 leeks, and 1 irritated face~

as for price, i think this figure quite worth it indeed <3

Upcoming latest line from Figma, Drosell Von Flugel or something...her name is hard to write...lol (its a germany name in case you're curious)

Some bird told me that she will be released around July this year at 2,800 Yen (i hope so)





She's made with collaboration with Disney Japan hence the different outlook

there arent many information about her for now beside that she's up and alive in her animation series [Fireball]

I've watch the animation, and its funny coz its so random and without any story plot whatsoever~ currently there're 13 eps. i hope there're more coz its quite fun watching her

Oh and there's more...Nendoroid also taking her in !! Pfft i'm so getting them later....hope my wallet wont burn that fast >_<

Bandai Twist Action Form

So here it is 18cm Kamen Rider Den-O by Bandai @ 4,500 Yen (price may be different depends on the shop)

I just got it yesterday from the shop i usually order my figures; i havent watch kamen rider den o series, the only kamen rider series that i watched is kamen rider black and thats long long time ago.



The reason i bought this figure is i wanna experience the new body type, this body of kamen rider is covered with leather syntesic suit-of some sort which hide all its joints.

This is the only pic at the moment, dont have mini studio for it (will take pic later on)

Now, for the review

Flexibility of this figure is quite alright, i'm not brave enough to do extreme pose since i cant determine how're the joints handle such pose (yet) so for now the flexibility is somewhat limited. I like the leather suit ! it makes the figure looks great ^o^

There are some paint missing here and there, but its a mass produced figure so yeah..i kinda expecting it, not a big of problem; for the character originality, i suppose it follows it quite well. The only thing that makes me sad is....the blade, it doesnt stick with the figure hand ToT

i'm thinking to customize the blade hilt so it will stick to the hand, but i dunno what to use...anyone have an idea ?

There isnt any stand for this figure, tho it may stand quite alright on its own. The accessories contains of 2 side bag(belt?) with his things, 2 side bag(belt?) empty, 1 sword, 4 extra hand (2 each for left and right)

The latest addition in Morning Musume as the 8th gen. In 2005, she went auditioning for Super Girl in china, but she didnt win (which somehow made me glad) because soon after Tsunku♂ made a surprise private audition, 8th gen Morning Musume audition for the very first time outside Japan ! Even the members of Morning Musume are kept in dark about this audition.

The reason of why Tsunku♂ made this audition is because he felt its time for Morning Musume take another step in their publicity by taking Asian market. Oh before i forget, JunJun was never told that she was going into 8th gen audition, she's probably thinking that the audition was just another audition like the Super Girl audition; soon after she was called by Tsunku♂ to Japan.

Few of her family members actually against her decision to go to Japan, its because the usuall China vs Japan thingy which i prefer not to talk about. Luckly she's the type that doesnt give in, and she went to Japan ^ o ^


For the very first time, she watched a brief training of Hello Project concert which led her to met another chinese member of Morning Egg (another Hello Project team which consist of young generations) LinLin (Qian Lin). At that concert also, she was told that she's going to take part in the concert as Morning Egg member. Few days after she and LinLin called up by the staff to watch Tsunku♂ video in which he told them that they are choosen as the 8th gen members of Morning Musume (it shocked them until they are speechless and cried)

JunJun herself havent able to speak japanese(she was using a guide translator all the time), on the other hand LinLin was able to. JunJun went straight learning japanese soon after while doing dance and vocal training to catch up with the current members.

JunJun and LinLin acceptance led to a rage among japanese and chinese, because of the usuall China vs Japan. JunJun blogsite was filled with harsh words even curses from either Chinese and Japanese eventhough there are few that supports her too; She disable the comment and picture gallery in the blog after she replied to all that made the comments in a mature way (i forgot what she wrote but its "i dont care about how you think of me, but i dont like you insulting my country" or something similar).

In few long months, most of those who oppose her went missing and her supporter went raging up like volcano eruption (ok that was lame, but its close) even her supporter at a time was higher than the some of the other members.

As for me, i already fallen for her from the start so i dont get surprise that she's doing well but she's only given a little amount of singing lines ToT but nvm, i know that she's going be one of the memorable members in Morning Musume; who's able to deny a cute girl like her ?

Fugu

A deadly japanese food made from fugu also known as Puffer fish; there are few types of fugu but the deadliest one called Tora fugu (Tora = Tiger). Fugu are deadly because of their well known poison and there arent any antidote to cure it (yet). The posionous parts of fugu are liver, ovaries, and the skin.


Fugu sashimi, there are rules that you need to understand before you order it :

• Dont rush the chef, else he might forgotten to cut any hazardous piece
• Dont be afraid to eat the fugu, the fugu chef will feel insulted if he/she catch you being afraid because he/she takes a long time to get the liceanse.
  
• Dont take fugu from other people plate (if its not a full set like the above) the chef most probably calculate the amount of poison that can be handle by certain person thus taking out other people fugu would unbalance the amount of poison.
• When you feel numbness on your lips, dont get panic......its normal, tho it is the 1st sign of fugu poisoning; unless the effects are spreading, hope the hospital is near.

Fugu sashimi could cost between $20-$200+/set. Why is it expensive?

• The chef need a liceanse (which could take 10years+)
• Only available on certain months (around winter)
• Cutting the fish need a special knife called fugu-hiki
  

But dont need to worry so much about eating them, scientist at Nagasaki Univ. have found a way to breed non-toxic fugu tho there are some parties that doubting about it being poisonless...for me, i think it takes out the challange of death/semi death posibility from eating fugu.

I have never tried fugu dish before, but i'm going to try it someday later when i see any liceansed shop, tho perhaps i will need to sign in my last will letter (just in case...)

i dont really have plenty information about this guy, but what i know is he's capable of using many kinds of instruments.........piano, guitar, saxophone, violin , almost anything.

He's been in 2 band before..the 2nd band was Malice Mizer(MM) as vocalist (i forgot about the 1st band but he was the vocalist too) *The 1st band is Cain's Feel Credit to Anon. in 1999, he left MM to pursue his solo career; I cant talk bout gackt without talking bout Kami (the drummer in MM); Gackt and Kami reportedly quite close (stop that yaoi thinking) i assume that they are bff @_@ Kami died in june 1999 (shortly after Gackt leaving MM), he died because of subarachnoid hemorrhage at age 26.

Gackt had a wife, but they divorced after a while because of numerous intimidation by Gackt hard fan and personal constraint)

So thats just a short profile of her, what i like about her is that she's loud (dont be fooled by the pic and thinking that she's a calm-feminim type of person). her character always makes people laugh (at least smile). She's unofficially a person in morning musume that keep up spirit from time to time and her laugh, yes laugh..she's not giggling like common girls; when she laugh, she do it loudly without hesitation.

After her discharge from morning musume because of a scandal (having a bf is forbiden for every morning musume members) in 2005, she appears more into TV shows leading her to her own Tv show "Yaguchi hitori", movie and drama as support and main char.

Currently, she's making a solo debut..it relieve me alot, she's born for singing, and i know she's capable making a hit ^ o ^

Lucky * Star, a comedy anime that quite loose at a time but sometimes taking a heavy words understand only by anime lover~

a perfect otaku~ that would prolly define 99% of her personality. i cannot express any more words beside that..oh and she's uber cute (well at least for me) ♥♥♥

Kagami Hiiragi
a counter part of konata, she and konata is somewhat close friends...i suspect even closer to konata rather than her sister. she's the only main char that arent in the same class with the rest. from what i've seen...she's really a tsundere (ah ha, another word only commonly heard by otaku)

Tsukasa Hiiragi
the younger sister of kagami, she's somewhat a combination of konata and kagami -1 points from every stats; she's quite slow, not actually smart, inherit konata characteristic for laziness but kinda cute in a way ^^

Miyuki Takara
the main char that doesnt get enough love~ she's the top grade material..come from a wealthy family, high intelegency, the only main char that have female curves, and kind; but all of those traits doesnt help her alot in gaining personal fans which quite odd~ i guess its because even that she's one of the main char, she doesnt get enough show time..
There are plenty of support characters, but all of them are more than capable lining up against the main chars.

the anime consist of 24 episodes which i 100% recommended. this anime actually capable in giving brief information on how people(otaku) live in japan eventho it doesnt actually represent all of them but if you manage to watch this anime..then you wouldnt be surprise with common otaku personality ^ o ^

Nihon ! or Japan...i suppose i have a thing bout this country; its not just because my name is a japanese; Well thats another story..in this blog, i'm prolly gonna talk about the japanese part XD

There are a lot of things i feel good about it, such as :

• Culture; Well every country have plenty of culture too..but somehow japan culture interest me more ? (dont ask, coz i have no idea why too)
• Language; I've been trying to learn japanese by myself, tho i learn some words but its not enough for me to watch some japanese movie without subs
• Anime; Ahh alright, i'm somewhat an anime otaku...i guess
• Toys; Seriously...who can make better toys than them ?
• Technology; well its seems most of high tech gadget comes from there (i said some)
• Music and Movie; well this part is kinda biased on personal preferrence
• Food; i love sushi, especially unagi, ikura, uni, salmon..well most of japanese food........prolly because i'm also an asian so i'm kinda stick to it better~
• Game; i supposed everyone know about this part already...nintendo, playstation, ect
  
• TV show; i have watch plenty of tv show from other country (comedy/other type) most of them are lame....not saying there arent lame tv show in japan but those that are good are really good.

well i supposed thats about all i can think atm~ it would be mean if i dont tell the bad sides too~

i've read some bad things from japan too, such as:

• Criminality; i mean..the crimes exist in every country, but the punishment for the criminals arent really good punishment for their crime...there are few crimes i read about and i cant really cannot tolerate the punishment...even thinkin about it makes me boiled and sad
• Community; i've seen some places in japan where they dont accept foreigners..i wonder why..but i guess its just about language barrier, i've been in china before..and seriously its like 1 in 1000 people able to speak english even for a simple english
  
• Economy; read also that Tokyo is somewhere in the Top 10 most expensive city in the world...a small apartment which only consist of kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and a storing area could cost up like US$600 per month~ and its really small......
• Jobs; well i cant really tell bout this part since i havent taking deep research about it but i supposed it would be quite hard as in the working hours~ and most of job are job-for-life type which sometimes could be a bad thing...
• Transportation, well as some of you may know...eventho japan have various type of transportation but they mostly using train..and they are common in being squezzed into a train especially at the rush hours~ which i dont really like @_@
  
• Suicide rate; from time to time, i kept hearing there are high suicide rate in japan........its confusing how many people suicide, i mean between all those who suicide there must be some semi-sane people and that scares me a lot....i kept thinking is living in japan really that hard ?

and so far thats what i've read; but it doesnt lower my hope to ever living there...hope it will be a good decision if i ever decided to live there ^^

in http://www.dannychoo.com website, i've gather a lot of information if i want to make a plan to live there ^^ its a good site for anyone who have interest in japan; too bad i havent become a member in his site..tho i want, but i dont have the luxury atm cause of few problems.

well i suppose thats about it for now (>^_^)>

Okonomiyaki

A Japanese pizza..thingy~

i love foods, sometimes i always look out for foods that i haven't tried when i'm going to some places.
(=^ _ ^=)

When i went into a mall, i encounter this small food shop..i was thinkin "oh a japanese food shop
Okonomiyaki....never heard of it", so i went inside and tried it.

There are few japanese people as the chef and waiter/ess..i asked for a teppan seat, so i can see how they made it.

While i was waiting, the owner of the shop approached me and hand me out a japanese newspaper......but....i cant read japanese (T o T) perhaps i look like a japanese to her ? it remains a mystery.

After waiting a while, its done..when i saw the size of it, i'm thinkin its actually served for 2 person coz its quite big, but i guess i can handle it alone; Since i like spicy food..i put quite a lot of okonomiyaki sauce. It taste GREAT !! so great until it burned my tounge (x_x) but then again Yebisu beer cool it out.

After i search for some information, i learned that there are few types of okonomiyaki and the one that i had is Hiroshima style of okonomiyaki...i wonder what other okonomiyaki taste like...

oh well, hope to find another type of unfamiliar foods around (=^ o ^=)

A figure's life

Yotsuba, the icon of Yotsuba & I comic book being materialized by Revoltech Company.

When i saw Yotsuba the first time, i saw the action figure before the comic book; which kinda not interesting for me in any way but somehow it manage to stick around in my mind for a while until i finally decided to buy the comic books.

And i fell in laugh.

After that, i felt an urge to get her action figure that i saw earlier...and she became my 3rd Revoltech. I'm glad i bought her because she was the first human Revoltech i own and it leads me to another direction of action figures collecting.

After quite some time, Revoltech announcing another version of her, Yotsuba DX which is quite the same with few minor changes and loads of accessories; thus Yotsuba Twins emerged. That picture was taken somewhat long time ago, i bought a.....i dunno what people call it but i guess i can say that its a bicycle-finger(?) because i was thinking that it might fit her photoshot...and i was right (=^ _ ^=)
